The Centre on Wednesday issued a notice to Meta over the rollout of the username feature on WhatsApp in India, sources said.The government directed Meta to furnish a detailed explanation on the username feature within three days, they said.The government also directed Meta not to roll out WhatsApp username feature until consultation on the issue is over, sources said.
