The health and beauty chain closed all its stores, but will now reopen in 17 locations

Bodycare is returning to high streets this month, as the beauty retailer revives its bricks-and-mortar stores.

Last September, all 147 Bodycare branches were forced to shut after plunging into administration, with the retailer unable to secure a buyer for the chain of stores.

However, in October, it was announced that Bodycare would return after being acquired out of administration by a group of investors.

These new sites will have a “Bodycare Studio” format, which will focus on promoting new products with demonstration zones, feature screens, and live broadcast studios.

On its website, Bodycare has officially revealed the locations of its 17 new stores, stating they hope to open 15 in the space of one year.

Almost all the locations are based in the North and Midlands regions, including Leicester, Northampton, Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield.

In a move that will delight Sheffield shoppers, Bodycare’s old location in the city is the first to be revived, with the brand’s website announcing it will reopen as soon as this month.

The retailer’s former unit at The Moor Shopping Centre is currently undergoing a transformation and rebrand, with a message on the shopfront reading: “Sheffield, we’re so back.”

In a post made on The Moor Sheffield’s Facebook page in June, it was announced: “Bodycare, the value health and beauty retailer, is making its return to the high street – and we’re thrilled that The Moor Sheffield will be the first out of six new stores to open.

“Shoppers can look forward to a brand-new “Bodycare Studio” format, including in-store demonstration zones, feature screens, live broadcast studios and creator spaces as part of a wider digital-first strategy.

“An official opening date is coming soon – stay tuned for further details as we look forward to welcoming customers back!”

With 17 stores already confirmed, Bodycare hints there will be even more on the way shortly – but, as of now, they have not been revealed.
