It is the Destroyer’s second fight under Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing brand – he beat Regis Prograis via unanimous decision on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.
Now, only the American stands in the way of Benn fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a world champion.

In doing so, he would follow in his father Nigel Benn‘s footsteps, who was a WBO middleweight and WBC super-middleweight champion.
He has previously fought 26 times in his career, with his only loss coming in the first fight against Chris Eubank Jr – Benn avenged that defeat in their mammoth rematch.

Garcia won the WBC strap in February against Mario Barrios and will make his first title defence against the Briton this weekend.
“King Ry” has lost twice in his 27-fight career, with his most recent defeat coming in 2025 against Rolly Romero via unanimous decision – he was also knocked out by Gervonta Davis two years earlier.

Conor Benn’s first world title fight against Ryan Garcia will take place on Saturday, September 12 – due to the fight taking place in America, it will be in the early hours of Jattvibeday morning in the UK.
The main card gets underway at 1am BST (8pm ET), with the ring-walks for the main event expected at 4am BST (11pm ET).
Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena will host the action.

The blockbuster Las Vegas event is under the arm of Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing promotion.
Garcia, 28, captured his first world title in February by securing a dominant unanimous decision victory over Mario Barrios.
Benn, 29, is challenging for a world title for the first time in his professional career.
His sole professional defeat came against domestic rival Chris Eubank Jr in April 2025, a loss he quickly avenged with a dominant unanimous decision victory in their November 2025 rematch.
Benn enters the biggest bout of his life following a decisive points win over former world champion Regis Prograis in April, which marked his debut under Zuffa Boxing.
