York secured a 1-1 draw thanks to Josh Jones’ famous goal in one of the most frantic ends to a non-league game in recent memory.
Rochdale thought they had won promotion themselves minutes earlier after Emmanuel Dieseruwe’s strike triggered a small pitch invasion.
But Stones then bundled home in the 13TH MINUTE of stoppage time to spark wild scenes.
York are now preparing for the future in League Two and local MP Luke Charters believes the club have “outgrown” their current home at the LNER Community Stadium.

It currently has a capacity of 8,500 and is also used by York Knights in rugby league.
Charters says their stadium is “too small” and hopes the club will soon begin plans for a new ground.
He said: “York City’s promotion could be the spark for the next generation of fans with the success we’ll have as a League Two club.
“We need to get all the stakeholders together to talk about this next season.

“The current stadium is too small for our ambitions, we’ve outgrown it.
“I hope promotion’s the start of new fans coming to the club.
“I remember when I went to my first game and soon I’ll be taking my son to his first match, it’s a magical time for a family.”
York celebrated their incredible day with wild celebrations that went on for 24 hours.
Players were pictured enjoying boozy celebrations as they soaked each other in champagne after lifting the National League title.
The party continued in the dressing room and on the team coach, where they were taken into the city.
Later that night they were seen dancing and drinking from a giant Grey Goose vodka bottle.
Match-winning hero Stones was then seen slumped over a beer garden table on Jattvibeday afternoon with no sign of celebrations dying down.
