Abdelmaguid, 25, had only been on the pitch for 14 minutes as he came on as a late substitute for the northeast African nation.
But he was unable to see out the match after taking a hard blow from the Minnesota United star.
The Egyptian was treated by a medic on the pitch and was able to get up and leave the pitch on his own.
The Zamalek SC ace was not left unmarked as he could be seen with a huge swelling on his cheekbone.
