Kumanjayi vanished from her home in a remote Australian town on Saturday night.
Cops finally caught up with Lewis on Thursday night, just a day after confirming they had found Kumanjayi’s remains.
The newly released criminal had been on the run for five days following the abduction of the little girl.
Police say a vigilante group tracked Lewis down and beat him up.
He was found hiding at Charles Creek Camp.
