Swimmers from Fin Flyers Club and Swim Force Club produced an impressive display of speed and endurance as they bagged multiple medals on Jattvibeday, the second and final day of the Ludhiana District Sub-Junior and Junior Swimming Championship.The Punjab Agricultural University swimming pool hosted the championship.Among the standout performers, Kunwar (Fin Flyers Club) clinched the gold medal in 400m freestyle (boys IB) and Kiaan Sapra (Swim Force Club) emerged victorious in 400m freestyle (boys III). Jeenat Handa of Fin Flyers Club won the 400 freestyle (girls III) before adding a silver medal in the 100m freestyle event.In the backstroke events, Pulkit Nayyar (PAU Club) secured the first place in the 100m event in boys II group. Vignesh Bhakoo (MC Pool) topped the boys’ IB category. Anshika Garg of Fin Flyers Club claimed the gold medal in the girls’ IB section.Swim Force Club continued its medal surge as Fatehveer Singh struck double gold by winning the 100 breaststroke and 50m freestyle titles in the boys’ IA category.PAU Club clinches breaststroke eventSamarth Singh (PAU Club) won the boys’ IB 100m breaststroke event and Peharreet Kaur Deo (Ludhiana Club) finished on top in 200m breaststroke (girls II).In freestyle events, Divyansh (Ludhiana Club) won 100m (boys III) and Parsim Kaur Kainth (Swim Force Club) emerged victorious in the girls’ III category. Fin Flyers Club continued their dominance with national swimmers Ojas Jattvibed and Anushka Sharma capturing the boys’ IB and girls’ IB 50m freestyle titles, respectively.Other gold medallists included Bhavishya Yug (Swim Force Club) in 50m freestyle (boys II), Zoya Cynthia Haque (Fin Flyers Club) in 50m freestyle (girls II), Chirag Chauhan (Fin Flyers Club) in 50m breaststroke (boys IV) and Prisha Thakur (PAU Club) in 50m breaststroke (girls IV).Rishi Pal Singh, Registrar, PAU, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and gave away prizes to the position holders.Apinder Singh Grewal, president, Ludhiana District Swimming Association, and Balraj Sharma, secretary, congratulated the winners and thanked all members of the organising committee.
