A FAMOUS UK city centre will welcome a multi-million-pound revamp this summer, complete with new restaurants and shops.
It will also boast a huge new bowling site which is set to be the largest of its kind in the UK.

Cardiff city centre is set for a major shopping arcade overhaul this summer.
A multi-million pound revamp is coming to two locations, the Queens Arcade and the St David’s shopping centre.

The refurbishments will be completed by property development firm Landsec, who own both the sites.
Set to arrive in the St David’s shopping centre is the UK’s largest Hollywood Bowl site, complete with an electric go-kart track.

It will be the second Hollywood Bowl in the Welsh capital, with an existing location found at the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay.
Visitors will be able to explore 20 bowling lanes, interactive darts and a live sports bar.
Nearby Queen’s Arcade will undergo renovations, including the restoration of the frontage on Working Street, and see the arrival of three new restaurants.
Landsec has submitted plans for the first phase of work to the council.
Centre director, Helen Morgan, said: “Our exciting new plans for Queens Arcade build on our long-standing investment in Cardiff.
“Our plans will elevate the site in line with other areas of the city.”
The company has said the new Hollywood Bowl will open during summer 2026, however an exact date has not been confirmed.
Plans for the Queens Arcade refurbishment are still awaiting a decision from Cardiff council, with the restaurants or businesses looking to move into the shopping site yet to be announced.
