JEAN-CLAIR TODIBO reportedly refused to be part of the squad for West Ham’s showdown with Leeds after a sensational bust-up with boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Hammers were relegated to the Championship on the final day of the season after arch-rivals Tottenham beat Everton.

West Ham’s fate was sealed despite goals from Taty Castellanos, Jarrod Bowen and Callum Wilson bagging a 3-0 win over Leeds to initially give themselves hope of pulling off a great escape.

And Todibo, 26, watched the action unfold from the London Stadium stands after making himself unavailable.

The Athletic report the centre-back had a heated exchange with Nuno following West Ham’s defeat to Newcastle last week and vowed to never play for him again.

Todibo was furious after being dragged off in the first half at St James’ Park and complained to goalkeeping coach Rui Barbosa.

The former Barcelona man felt humiliated when Nuno’s tactical blunder – which gifted Newcastle an early two-goal lead – resulted in him being subbed after only 25 minutes.

And Todibo’s confrontation with the Hammers chief led to him not being named in the matchday squad against Leeds.

The Frenchman also clashed with ex-boss Julen Lopetegui during the early stages of his West Ham career.

Todibo vented his frustrations while Graham Potter was in the London Stadium dugout as well.

He has no intentions of staying at West Ham following relegation and is keen to quit when the transfer window reopens.

Axel Disasi’s loan arrival from Chelsea midway through the season saw Todibo fall down the pecking order.

And he was restricted to just 23 Premier League appearances over the course of the campaign.

Todibo only made three starts after being sent off for grabbing Chelsea striker Joao Pedro around the throat during a 3-2 loss at Stamford Bridge in January.

The defender is expected to be part of a mass exodus from the London Stadium this summer.

Bowen, Mateus Fernandes and Tomas Soucek are among the names who could quit to raise funds following the drop.
