GARY NEVILLE couldn’t resist a trolling pun when Noel Gallagher was forced to cut his celebration short for Erling Haaland’s goal against Man United.

Initially, the back-post effort was ruled offside, meaning the Oasis member had to stop his wild celebrations in his tracks.

Neville remarked: “Don’t look back in anger,” referencing Oasis’ hit song that turned 30 years old this year.

However, after a lengthy VAR review, Haaland’s goal then stood and actually proved to be the winner.

City pulled off the massive win in boss Enzo Maresca‘s first-ever Manchester derby – and they did it with 10 men.

Phil Foden saw red after a clash with Bruno Fernandes after just 23 minutes.

United legend Roy Keane, working as a pundit, felt the red card was harsh on Foden as Fernandes, in his view, acted as the instigator.

But Haaland’s goal has caused the most point of confusion and debate.

Enzo Fernandez clearly goes for the ball in an offside position, but the laws of the game are more focused on whether he impacts or influences anyone defending the eventual goal.

It appears as though Senne Lammens stutters going across his goal as the Argentine dives for the ball.

Both Keane and former Manchester City star Micah Richards both agreed the goal shouldn’t have stood with Neville insisting on commentary he didn’t believe it was a goal, either.
