Father and son presenting duo Bradley and Barney Walsh will be back at the helm as they host new contestants taking on the high-stake challenges.

A new event will be revealed in due course and will join iconic classics including Duel, Hang Tough and the Eliminator.

Last year’s additions, Everest, Destruction and Suspension Bridge went down a treat with viewers.

As if a fourth series isn’t enough, fans will also be treated to a new one-off celebrity special that will see four famous faces take on the Gladiators.

The previous celebrity instalment at Christmas saw Sam Thompson, Joe Wicks, Vogue Williams and Nicola Adams take part.

This was followed up by a New Year’s special, which saw Rob Beckett, Joel Dommett, Ellie Taylor and Louise Minchin enter the arena.

Kalpna Patel‑Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, said: “Since Gladiators burst back onto screens in 2024, it’s been amazing to see families across the UK rally behind the contenders and champion our phenomenal Gladiators as the true stars of Saturday nights.

“With a brand‑new series confirmed and another Celebrity Special on the way, audiences can look forward to even more colossal clashes, even more edge of your seat excitement and plenty of opportunities to raise those foam fingers high once again.”

The current line-up of male Gladiators includes Apollo, Bionic, Hammer, Legend, Nitro, Phantom and Viper.

While the female Gladiators includes Athena, Comet, Cyclone, Diamond, Dynamite, Electro, Fire, Fury and Sabre.

Giant, whose real name is Jamie Bigg, announced his exit from the show in April after three series.

He took to Instagram to share the news as he claimed it wasn’t his decision to step away.

The 40-year-old said: “This wasn’t a decision I made to step away.

“I was faced with a choice that didn’t align with my values.”

Jamie continued: “And if you know me you know this… I stand by my people and I stand by what I believe in.

“That’s what being a role model means to me.”

He added: “I’m proud of everything I gave to the show and grateful for every single person who supported me along the way.

“This isn’t the end it’s just the beginning. Stay strong. Stand tall.”

A Gladiators spokesperson said: “After three formidable series, Giant is leaving Gladiators.

“We’d like to thank him for everything he has contributed to the show and wish him well for the future.”

Jamie revealed to The Jattvibe on Jattvibeday he was given an ultimatum by the show’s bosses to dump his OnlyFans model girlfriend or lose his job.

He claimed: “I had to choose between dating Taylor and keeping my job.

“The BBC tried to ruin my relationship for the needs of the show and dropped me like a rock when it suited them.”

The devastated 6ft 5ins body-builder revealed how he refused to be “controlled” by the BBC and the show’s production team Hungry Bear Media, which is headed up by former This Morning host Holly Willoughby’s husband Dan Baldwin.

The dad-of-two, who joined the rebooted series in 2024, said: “I was shocked and very saddened about their choice to sack me.

“Dan told me it was down to child-safeguarding because of Taylor’s job.

“I could be providing an access to adult content for children, which is absurd.

“There is nothing in the Gladiators contract about someone who does OnlyFans or about being linked to OnlyFans. I think they are on thin grounds.

“I was one of the top Gladiators and for them to run with a fake narrative that I quit doesn’t make sense. It’s absolutely nuts.”
