CHELSEA will be wearing their Club World Cup champions badge for the next Premier League season.
The Blues, who beat Paris Saint-Germain in the 2025 Club World Cup final in America, applied to the Premier League for permission to carry the golden badge on their strips for another season and have been given the go-ahead to do so.

Chelsea launched their new kit for the 2026-27 season on Tuesday
They will once again wear the Club World Cup champions badge in the Premier League
Clubs must ask for approval from the Premier League to add certain badges to their shirts.
Chelsea‘s disappointing 2025-26 season saw the club criticised at times for leaning into their status as ‘world champions’, but the Blues are proud to carry the reminder of their success in the centre of their shirts.
The next Club World Cup is currently due to be held in the summer of 2029, meaning Chelsea could have the badge on their shirt for the three coming seasons before having to give it up.
The club’s new kit for next season was launched on Tuesday morning, featuring the Club World Cup winners badge.

Chelsea hint over £169m stars’ futures as they’re left out of new kit launch
While the badge will continue, there is still no clarity over whether or not Chelsea will start the season with a front of shirt sponsor. It is the third straight year a shirt has been launched without a sponsor.
Flat Tyr
TYRIQUE GEORGE‘S Everton future is being impacted by a winger who spent just two months on Chelsea’s books.
George, 20, joined the Toffees on loan in January with an option to buy for £22million.
Everton are yet to decide whether to commit to triggering the option, with the struggles of Tyler Dibling a factor in their decision.

Dibling, 20, moved to Merseyside from Southampton in £36m deal last summer but has started just four Premier League games and is yet to score a goal for the club in any competition.
Boss David Moyes has been publicly critical of the winger at times and the significant outlay on Dibling, and his subsequent form, means that Everton bosses are having second thoughts about committing more funds on George, although they have been impressed with him.
Dibling left Southampton’s academy in July 2022 to join Chelsea but returned to the south coast after just two months due to homesickness.

Asked about the future of George, and fellow loanee Jack Grealish, recently, David Moyes said: “At the moment, they go back to their clubs and we’ll take it from there.
“As the summer goes on, we’ll decide what path we’re going to take on both of them. We like Tyrique, obviously we like Jack a lot – but we’ve not got an answer [yet].
“We’ve enjoyed having Tyrique here – he’s been an excellent boy and his work-rate and everything has been excellent, so we’re happy with him.”
George is expected to be sold permanently this summer whether Everton trigger the option or not.
Top Hato
AJAX legend Edwin Van der Sar is more than proud of the progress being made by Jorrel Hato at Chelsea.
The 20-year-old defender has been one of the Blues’ top defenders since Enzo Maresca was sacked, and is expected to be important under Xabi Alonso again next season.
The youngster is the youngest player to ever reach 100 appearances for Ajax, and captained the team as a teenager, with his time at the club being commemorated by a plaque on the wall of the tunnel at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
And Van der Sar, who was the club’s CEO until August 2023 sounded very proud of the defender and his progress at Stamford Bridge.
Ahead of playing at Soccer Aid, Van der Sar told JattvibeSport: “He’s a great player.
“He was a fantastic talent when he came through the academy at Ajax, and the way that he conducted himself in the first-team was excellent.
“He made the move to Chelsea and he’s been adapting and developing even further – I’m looking forward to seeing him at the World Cup.”
