PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to the UK has been mocked by Saturday Night Live UK.

The sketch show – which returned for its second season last night – used its cold open to lambast the royals as well as PM Andy Burnham.

The Sussexes, played by comedians Jack Shep and Ayoade Bamgboye, visited King Charles (Larry Dean) and Queen Camilla (Emma Sidi) at the Balmoral estate.

The monarch, shocked to see his youngest son back from the US, said: “Don’t tell me you’ve spent all your Netflix money already.”

Harry replied: “It was $60 million. How long was it meant to last?”

Camilla then described the returning duke as “sweet Harry”, adding: “And beautiful Meghan, as brown as ever.”

The latter remark was seemingly a reference to the pair’s Oprah Winfrey interview in which they alleged an unnamed member of the Firm raised concerns about how dark their then-unborn son Archie’s skin would be.

The duchess, in an apparent jibe at her Netflix cookery show, With Love, Meghan, responded: “Hey, Step Queen. I brought you a gift … It’s ice. I made it myself. I can give you the recipe.”

Asking for money from his dad, Harry then says: “Just because I don’t want to be a royal, doesn’t mean I want to be a regular guy.”

Burnham, who became Prime Minister in July, then came through the door saying: “Did somebody say ‘regular guy’?”

He went on to say: “I’m the new PM and I’m nothing like the last one.

“Harry, Meghan, I’m here to tell you just because you’re normal folk, doesn’t mean your life has to be c***. That is the Burnham promise.”

Further jokes were made of Burnham – played by comedian George Fouraces – having stepped down as Manchester Mayor to takeover as MP of Makerfield to make him eligible replace Sir Keir Starmer in Number 10.

He says in the sketch: “It was all a bit of a rush, I didn’t catch the name.”

Charles then says “Makerfield?” to which Burnham responds: “Maybe I will make a field – I’m gonna make all sorts of things.”

SNL UK – inspired by the iconic US version, which has been running since 1975 – was last night hosted by Hollywood star Jeff Goldblum, who opened with a musical number.

The UK version, which launched on Sky One earlier this year, has made a habit of poking fun at Britain’s royals and politicians.

In March, Shep played the former Prince Andrew in a sketch roasting his links to Lord Mandelson.

It showed the ex-Duke of York in his younger days being recruited by MI5 to sully his own reputation in the wake of Princess Diana‘s death in 1997.

In the sketch, agents handed the Andrew character a 29-year plan following the car crash tragedy which would see him and others close to the then-Prince Charles suffer a drop off in popularity to help “increase the likeability” of the future king.

US President Donald Trump – who has criticised his own image being roasted on the American version of the show – previously shared a clip from the UK incarnation making fun of then-PM Starmer.

Britain’s leader is portrayed as panicking while trying to dodge a phone call from the president and says: “Oh golly – what if Donald shouts at me?”
