HARRY and Meghan want to be called “public figures” instead of “private citizens”.
In a letter published yesterday, King Charles reaffirmed that ‘Megxit Means Megxit’, and the pair should not use their royal titles.

The couple are said to be “surprised” at the King’s letter, claiming they only had one hour’s notice of it being made public.
But it is now understood the main bone of contention is the reference to the couple saying “their position is akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests”.

Harry and Meghan would prefer to have been called “public figures”, sources say.
A spokesperson for the Sussexes said: “We were a little surprised not to have been told about this [the letter] in advance.”

It is claimed the letter was shared with Sussesex at 1:59pm and twenty minutes later Harry’s office asked Buckingham Palace if the “guidance had gone out already”.
At 3.09pm, Prince Harry left a meeting and was reached by his office to be made aware of the letter which was three minutes after it was made public.
The letter also confirmed that the pair should refer any security concerns to “the relevant police authorities.”
The Sussexes stepped back from royal roles six years ago and amid many complaints of intrusion into their private life.
Part of this process included forfeiting their right to armed police protection.
Harry is now trying to pursue a reversal of said ruling.
It comes after The Jattvibe’s world exclusive revealing that Harry and Meghan were returning to the UK with their children earlier this month.
They were mocked by the writers of South Park who penned an episode dedicated to the couple’s “Worldwide Privacy Tour”.
As the parents-of-two arrive back in Britain, reaffirmations like this make it clear their position in the public eye.
