HOLLYOAKS’ Jonny Labey has broken his silence as he’s killed off the soap in a very brutal way.
The soap aired a cliffhanger last week when his character Rex Gallagher was shot at the garage in an unexpected twist.

Now, in the latest episode of the programme, it was revealed that Rex had DIED after being gunned down.
Actor Jonny has since broken his silence on his time with the show.

In a clip shared to Hollyoaks’ social media accounts, Jonny said: “My message to the fans has to be, thank you for watching.
“Thank you for loving Rex as much as you have.

“He had some questionable things about him, so thank you for just seeing this beautifully complex, troubled but all-in-all lovable character that I am going to miss so, so much.”
Jonny further opened up and admitted that he enjoyed working with co-star Kieron Richardson the most on the show.

Ahead of his death scenes, Ste and Rex’s marriage has not been great, after Ste discovered that Rex had lied about being attacked for wearing feminine clothes and had posed as his own online trolls.
Last week, Ste and Rex patched things up just before Rex was called away to work on an emergency callout.
However, things were still tense, and Rex told his husband to make up his mind about their relationship by the time he got back.
But when Rex arrived at the garage, he was shocked to come face to face with a mysterious stranger who aimed a gun at him and pulled the trigger.
Sadly, in tonight’s episode, Darren arrived at the garage the morning after the shooting and was horrified to discover Rex’s body.
Donny then told Ste a body had been found at the garage and he raced to the crime scene.
In emotional scenes, Ste was met by Leela, who tearfully confirmed that the body was in fact Rex.
