After a disastrous press conference Tracie found herself accused of murdering him.
Detectives revisited timelines, cross-checked statements, and tested forensic evidence and slowly, the woman who entered the station as a witness found herself at the centre of suspicion.
The 90-minute programme charts the unravelling of her original narrative, the investigative shift that followed, and the consequences of that saw her exposed as the killer.
She was caged for life with a minimum of 14 years after being found guilty of Lee’s murder in December 1996.

Tracie butchered the 25-year-old bus driver 42 times with a penknife during the early hours of December 1, 1996.
The monster slashed her fiancé’s throat during the frenzy and left him to bleed to death on a dark country lane near their home in Alvechurch.
Channel 5 describe it as a “gripping psychological crime thriller told through first-hand accounts, police records, archive transcripts and reconstructed memories.
She was the sole witness to her fiancé’s murder.
Lee Harvey was killed on a dark country lane following what appeared to be a terrifying road-rage attack.
Tracie was injured, shaken, and desperate for justice.
She told police they were chased by another car driving aggressively.
But as the investigation unfolded, Tracie’s account became the foundation of the case and her image became inseparable from the story.
The story will play out in the new drama next month.
