Was really unlucky not to win a hot contest over this trip at Ripon 14 days ago. He finished like a train to be beaten less than half a length in a blanket finish. If he’d got going five strides sooner he would have won. He’s back from the same mark and has run well on the all-weather before, so the switch in surface won’t be an issue.
MARRA DONNA (8.30 Southwell, nb)
Is rarely out of the frame and was second in aphoto at Lingfield last time. Stepping back up a furlong looks a wise move and he’s handicapped to score.
SPACE BEAR (7.45 Kempton, treble)
Got a deserved win at Yarmouth last time and looks hard to fault under a penalty. This trip is ideal and she looks capable of better for top trainer Mick Appleby.
ARMSTRONG (5.30 Yarmouth, Lucky 15)
Went close on his turf handicap debut at Bath and doesn’t need a lot more.
