A MAN wearing one shoe has allegedly tried to grab a five-year-old girl and a six-year-old girl from the street outside a school.
Police were called to the scene in Ormesby, Middlesbrough, at around 4pm on Monday.
Cops were told a man had approached the two young girls and tried to grab them by the wrist.
The girls refused and the man is alleged to have then tried to entice them to come with him.

Both the girls managed to run away from the man, cops said.
Cleveland Police is now appealing for any witnesses to come forward as they hunt the man.

The suspect is described as a white male, slim build, wearing black or dark clothing, wearing one shoe and carrying a silver suitcase.
Acting Sergeant Donnelly from Greater Eston Neighbourhood Team, said: “This incident will understandably have caused some concern for our communities.
“We have carried out a number of enquiries already, including speaking with the victims, the local school, CCTV enquiries and having officers speaking to people in the local area.
“We have a high visibility, uniformed presence in the area today and will continue this as we carry out enquiries to identify and locate the man responsible.
“We would appeal to the public who may have information to contact us on 101, as soon as possible.”
