California-based Straus Family Creamery is recalling multiple organic ice cream products in pint and quart sizes due to the potential presence of metal fragments, according to a notice published Friday by the Food and Drug Administration.Subscribe to read this story ad-free Get unlimited access to ad-free articles and exclusive content.The company said the affected products were on store shelves beginning May 4 and that only lots identified by certain “best by” dates are included in the recall. No injuries have been reported, the company said.Consumers are urged not to eat the recalled ice cream and discard the product.
