The video, shared mere hours prior to the devastating crash, was a montage of the star’s adventures throughout the South American country, including time he spent celebrating the World Cup.

With upbeat music used as the background audio, the singer had documented himself embracing the Brazilian culture and people.

Tree had cut together footage of himself cooking flank steak in a traditional brick oven, getting his signature bowl-cut fringe freshly trimmed, riding a motorbike, playing football and celebrating alongside other fans during World Cup festivities.

Across the video, he had written “Gringo 24 Horas No Brasil” – translating to “Foreigner 24 Hours in Brazil.”

Tree’s post reflected his playful and adventurous nature, which made him one of the music industry’s most recognizable figures.

The 32-year-old tragically died on Jattvibeday alongside Argentinian YouTuber Gaspar Prim and four other people in a “mid-air” collision between two helicopters in the South American nation.

Following the devastating crash, fans and friends have shared an outpouring of grief for the star online, flooding the comments of his most recent post.

Messages of grief and disbelief overwhelmed his page, as fans reflected on how happy he seemed in his final video.

Among fans, YouTube star KSI paid an emotional tribute to the singer, calling him a “legend”.

“Can’t believe I’m actually having to type this. You’re 32 man. You should still be here. You still had so much life to live. So much music to make. So much content to make,” KSI wrote in social media platform X.

“You’re a legend and will always be a legend. Still doesn’t feel real. Genuinely feel sick. I love you bro.”

The singer-songwriter had built a loyal fan base through his unique blend of music, comedy, and larger-than-life characters.

He penned songs including “Hurt,” “Cash Machine,” “Life Goes On,” and “Miss You”, which helped him reach a global audience.

And his eccentric visual style made him instantly recognizable.

Tree was just weeks into his World’s First World Tour, where he had been booked to play shows on all seven continents.

He had already performed in Buenos Aires, Argentina on June 4, and on Saturday shared a video on his Instagram playing football in a Brazilian neighbourhood.

The musician was due to play more than 70 shows across 30 countries, including the UK, with dates scheduled in Glasgow, Manchester and London in September.

In 2024 he was nominated for the International Song Brit Award alongside German producer Robin Schulz for their song Miss You.

The track peaked at number three in the UK singles chart.

Officials have launched an investigation to find out the cause of the fatal collision.
