THE shirt worn by Pelé in the 1958 World Cup final is set to sell for an estimated £4.5million.
The Brazilian was 17 when he scored two goals against host nation Sweden in a 5-2 victory.

He remains the youngest player to score in a World Cup final, and went on to win two more Jules Rimet Trophies.
His historic No 10 shirt will be sold by Sotheby’s as the sole lot in its “The Beautiful Game” auction in New York.
Bidding opens on 29 June — 68 years to the day since Brazil’s landmark victory.
His second World Cup triumph came 12 years later in 1970.

Pelé, who scored an astonishing 1,281 goals in a glittering career, died in 2022 aged 82.
Sotheby’s said of the shirt: “The shirt has not been exhibited to the public in over two decades.
“Its historical importance is without parallel in the football memorabilia market.
“The authenticity of the shirt has been attested to by four members of the 1958 World Cup-winning squad.”
