A viral pro-Trump influencer who appeared to be a blonde American woman has been exposed as a fully AI-generated persona created by a 22-year-old Indian medical student.According to a report by WIRED, a bimonthly American magazine, the account, known as “Emily Hart”, was built using generative AI tools that created her face, body, captions, and political identity. The creator, identified as “Sam” (a pseudonym), is reportedly an aspiring orthopedic surgeon who said he started the project while struggling financially during his studies. The report stated that he also used AI tools, including Google’s Gemini, to refine the strategy. The system reportedly suggested targeting conservative ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA) audiences in the US—especially older men who are more engaged and likely to spend money online.Sam designed Hart as a stereotypical pro-Trump influencer: a blonde, Christian, gun-supporting American woman. Her posts showed her in bikinis, ice fishing, drinking beer, and handling firearms. The fake profile also claimed she was a nurse and was modelled to resemble Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence, the report added.Within a month, “Emily Hart” gained over 10,000 followers and began earning money through subscription platforms like Fanvue, where users paid for exclusive AI-generated content. He also used x’s Grok AI to generate more explicit images for monetisation.Sam said he spent less than an hour a day managing the account but earned a few thousand dollars a month—far more than typical student income in India. “I was basically doing nothing, and it was just flooded with money,” he told WIRED.The operation ended after Instagram removed the account in February for fraudulent activity, followed by the takedown of its Facebook profile after the scheme was exposed.
