Following key blood donations, her family said Bayir was responding well and is now due to undergo surgery.

“We remain very confident and deeply grateful for every prayer, message and positive energy sent by you.”

He wrote: “I know you will smile like that again and light up the world with your beautiful energy once more.

“You are stronger than you imagine, and I know you will rise again.”

No further details about the circumstances of the motorbike crash have been released.

This comes after a British tourist was killed in a motorcycle crash in Bali while celebrating his birthday with pals in June.

Joseph O’Sullivan, 26, had travelled to Indonesia from his home in Perth, Australia, where he had been living and working as a roofer for almost two years.

His death was announced by his sister Patricia O’Sullivan on Facebook on Friday.

“Just to let everyone know that my little brother Joseph has sadly passed away in a tragic accident,” she wrote.

“We are all in shock, love him very much, can’t believe he gone. RIP Joseph, my little brother.”

Tributes were paid to Joseph, describing him as a “brilliant lad” who had a smile “that would light up every room.”
