ITV commentator Andros Townsend has revealed that he is flying home after completing all of his games as a World Cup commentator.
The 34-year-old took to Instagram to share that his last match of the tournament was the quarter-final between Argentina and Switzerland.

Filming a video at the airport, he said: “My World Cup journey has now come to an end – 32 days I think it was, 11 matches in three different countries. 19 different flights I took in that month.
“It’s been a crazy month but it’s been well worth it.

“Amazing games, co-commentating on the World Cup. Commentating on Lionel Messi‘s hat-trick against Algeria in Argentina’s first game has to be one of the highlights.
“And my last game was Argentina winning 3-1 against Switzerland in the quarter-finals.

Townsend has been working alongside Seb Hutchinson at the tournament, offering his analysis of each game.
Throughout the tournament, the former Premier League star has also been sharing daily video diaries on social media.
The winger – who now plays for Thai club Kanchanaburi Power – has given fans an insight on how he has been keeping healthy at the World Cup.
