In a statement to police Meghan, 23, said: ”When I received the text messages from the defendant it caused anxiety and stress.

”They were extremely threatening and made me worried for my safety. It all caused sleepless nights.

“There has been an impact on my family causing them to worry about my safety and wellbeing.

“Due to her stalking behaviour I was constantly looking around. When I see a white Polo, it causes me to be fearful. I have to check the registration plate.

“I do worry it will be repeated again. I feel sorry for the defendant. I hope that she regrets her actions, learns her lesson and won’t do this to me, my partner or anybody else for that matter as she moves on with her life.”

Morgan, also 23 said: ”I was worried about the defendant finding out about my current partner and I was not surprised when this happened.

”It has caused a huge amount of stress particularly in relation to my daughter and has caused a great deal of anxiety when trying to sort out child care.

”There is constant harassment every time I see the defendant and hand over my daughter.

”I now have to go through my grandparents due to her behaviour and te constant stress the defendant was putting me in has caused tension between me and my granddad.

“I am worried about repeat behaviour and that it could happen again in the future.”

Woodward-Brown has now been sentenced at Warrington Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to harassment and stalking.

She was accused of stalking Meghan between March 20 and April 2 and harassing Morgan between March 24 and April 1.

She was slapped with a 12-month community order with a requirement she completes 100 hours of unpaid work.

She will also have to complete 20 days of rehabilitation activity and pay £199 in costs and a surcharge.

Woodward-Brown was also given a two-year restraining order forbidding contact with the couple except through a third party for the purpose of childcare arrangements.

The court heard she had been in a nine year relationship with Morgan after the pair met in high school.

They had a child together in 2023 but the relationship ended over text on Christmas Eve a year later.

Speaking in court, Heather Bell, prosecuting, said: “Courtney then learnt Morgan had entered a new relationship and found the details of the new partner Meghan through an Instagram post posted by the gym where Morgan and Meghan attended.

”The defendant sent the image showing Morgan and Meghan to Morgan and began sending abusive messages.

”He blocked her but following that Morgan received multiple calls from withheld numbers on a daily basis to an excessive degree.

“Morgan did answer the first couple of calls not knowing who they were from and the caller stated it was from Courtney and she asked him to get back with her.

“Following that Morgan no longer answered calls. The calls happened constantly from March 25 until the time it was reported to police.”

”At about the same time that he was getting messages, the defendant was also sending messages to Meghan who blocked that number.

” The defendant has no prior convictions. Her conduct intended to cause some fear and some distress was caused. A restraining order is necessary and proportionate in this case in view of what is charged and admitted.”

In mitigation Woodward-Brown’s lawyer Anthony Derbyshire said: ”She was in a relationship with Mr Priestly for a period of nine years, from a young age.

”She had a child with him at 20. There had been previous break ups but they always got back together.

“On Christmas Eve to Christmas Day he gave indication by text that he was ending the relationship. That understandably caused her some upset.

“Around the same time she made a decision to leave her employment because of difficulties in the employment environment.

“So she gave up her employment on the basis of the relationship support by him. Everything fell away.

“She accepts she was wrong in what she did. At the moment child contact arrangements have been taking place through grandparents – although they have indicated they are slightly worn out by being involved.”

“My client is willing to explore the opportunity of using the parenting app so the grandparents can be removed and the parent can now be contacted through the app.”

In sentencing Woodward-Brown, JP Ian Williams told her: “It goes without saying if you were to continue to harass either of these people you would be in a lot of trouble.”
