But putting on a brave face, Katie, who recently turned 48, revealed her kids were helping her celebrate her big day.
Sharing a pic of herself cuddled up to Princess, 18, and Junior, 20, she wrote: “Best birthday ever.”
Katie also shared some more good news.
Posting a snap of herself in her kitchen, she penned: “Fun day getting this beauty ready for an exciting project.”

Meanwhile, spending time with her kids would’ve been some light relief for her as she remains “heartbroken” over her “missing husband”.
Nearly two weeks ago, Lee failed to board a flight from Dubai where he lives to see his wife in the UK.
Yesterday, Katie took to her Instagram stories to share an emotional post about missing her husband, who has not been arrested in Dubai despite claims by his dad.
She posted a graphic showing three red love hearts with faces at various stages of feeling.
The first showed a broken heart with a sad face and the caption: “Without you.”
The next showed a stitched-up heart and the words: “When I see you.”
And the third heart was complete and had a beaming smile with the caption: “When I’m with you.”
Katie also shared a photo of woman holding a placard with an emotional message about “choosing” your loved one.
“I choose you and I’ll choose you over and over and over. Without pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat I’ll keep choosing you,” it read.
“When a connection has earned its place through proven character and reciprocity, your commitment should be absolute, visible, and unshakeable.”
Over the weekend, Katie claimed that police have asked her to launch a missing person’s TV appeal in Dubai as the search for her vanished husband continued.
Lee, who has not been seen in public for almost two weeks, was spotted online on Instagram at the weekend.
While Katie wants to fly to Dubai as the hunt for the self-proclaimed businessman continues, it is understood she fears being detained if she does so.
Lee has a travel ban following a stint in prison for fraud last October, meaning he cannot leave the United Arab Emirates.
