KEMI Badenoch has vowed to quit the European Convention on Human Rights and restart North Sea drilling in an “alternative King’s Speech”.
The Tory leader has unveiled 16 proposed laws she would enact ahead of Wednesday’s State Opening of Parliament.

The laws would reverse the “disastrous decisions” taken by the PM.
They include boosting stop-and-search powers, welfare reform and action on borders.
Ms Badenoch said: “This is the culmination of eighteen months of detailed, hard work done by a renewed Conservative Party.”
“We have thought hard about what the country needs.

“And with this document we are showing we have a plan to deliver it.
“If you want a country with strong borders, a country that is properly defended, a country that is a great place to start and run a business, and a country in which the law is upheld, this alternative Kings Speech delivers just that.”
Other planned laws include tougher welfare reforms, a “Protect Our Borders Bill”, a “Save British Industry Bill” and new measures backing veterans and schools.
She has admitted the last Tory Government made mistakes on tax and immigration.
The move comes just days after the Conservatives were hammered in the local elections.
They lost hundreds of council seats across England.
