Actor-producer Patralekhaa on Friday slammed paparazzi pages for comments about her appearance following the birth of her child, saying her weight gain is a natural result of pregnancy.Patralekhaa and husband, actor Rajkummar Rao, were recently seen attending the premiere of their maiden production venture “Toaster”, which released on Netflix on Thursday. The actor was subjected to a wave of body-shaming, with several social media pages targeting her appearance. In response to the trolling, Patralekhaa shared a brief note on her Instagram Stories.“Pap pages! What’s happened to me is that I have just given birth. Yes I have gained the weight, which seems like an unnatural phenomenon to you all. I have not sat and eaten a mountain, I just delivered a baby and produced two films simultaneously which are not easy jobs,” she said. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in November 2025.Patralekhaa, known for movies and shows such as “Citylights”, “Phule” and “IC 814”, said her body’s response to pregnancy was not within her control.“If I could I would not be this way. But that’s how my body has reacted to pregnancy,” she wrote, before signing off with an appeal for basic empathy – “For God’s sake please learn to be a little kind,” she concluded.“Toaster”, a dark comedy starring Rao, is produced by Patralekhaa and the actor under their banner Kampa Film. Their next production venture, “Raftaar”, will feature Rao alongside Keerthy Suresh.
