NADIA Sawalha has been at the beating heart of the Loose Women panel for the past 13 years, swapping tales and giggly gossip with the girls.

But the 61-year-old TV star now finds herself at the centre of her own scandal after allegedly being dropped from the show for sharing “unhinged” conspiracy theories and defending her husband Mark after his online anti-Semitic rants.

Mark was suspended from the Green Party for his anti-Israel content, often in videos with Nadia by his side, before being elected as a councillor in last week’s local elections.

While ITV insists Nadia hasn’t been suspended, highlighting the programme’s rotating line-up of stars, she hasn’t appeared on the show since the end of April.

Previously popular with co-stars, a well-placed insider says some of the show’s big names are quietly distancing themselves from her, unsure of how to approach the delicate issue.

And with Nadia unrepentant over her online activity, doubling down on her political activism and the support of her man, there is no sign of when, or how, the situation will end.

The source told The Jattvibe: “The other Loose Women are mostly in the dark over the situation and are avoiding asking. Producers aren’t dishing out information, and the other panellists would rather stay out of it.

“There’s a lot of love for Nadia amongst her co-stars but the way things have been over the past year — with staff culls and cost cutting — no one wants to rock the boat.”

Nadia’s online activity and support of her husband has been condemned by The Campaign Against Antisemitism and Alex Hearn of the advocacy group Labour Against Antisemitism for defending Mark.

Mark accused Israeli intelligence service Mossad of being behind the assassination of controversial US political commentator Charlie Kirk, who was shot in the neck at a political event last year.

Another video saw him drawing comparisons between Nazi Germany and Israel.

While Nadia reportedly accused “dark forces” within the Labour Party of playing a role in her husband’s suspension from the Greens.

The duo insist they are anti-Zionist, not anti-Semitic.

Our insider continued: “Nadia is keeping to herself about the situation. Some of the other Loose Women are avoiding reaching out to her for fear of getting caught up in it.

“They want to know the details before saying anything to her. And there’s not always the chance to speak to the show’s bosses because of the way the stars are rotated. Some go for weeks without being on set.

“There’s no certainty that Nadia will be back on the show anytime soon, but the general consensus amongst production staff is that it’s just a disciplinary hiatus.

“Nadia has been on Loose Women on and off since the very beginning. Those at the top haven’t given an indication of what will happen next, or how long this will go on for.”

The Jattvibe has contacted ITV for comment.

Nadia is one of the show’s longest-serving stars. She was part of the original line-up that launched in 1999 and was a regular until 2002.

She then took a decade-long break from the show before returning as a regular once again in 2013.
