OPE Sowande has just revealed that he has a This Morning star to thank for getting him into the Love Island villa.
The hunk was dumped from the show after a bumpy ride, clashing with co-stars and admitting to having a ‘wandering eye’.

Chatting with show alum Tyrique Hyde on his livestream after exiting the villa, Ope revealed his surprise connection — Alison Hammond.
Tyrique asked Ope whether he was scouted out to join the cast of Love Island this year.
But Ope responded that he actually has a ‘friend’ who was already well established with the team at ITV, and she gave him a hand.
He said: “I’ve got a friend, quite famous, and she got me an email with ITV.”

An intrigued Tyrique asked: “Who’s your friend?”
Ope openly replied: “Alison Hammond. We worked together. She’s a legend man. We could call her but she’s probably busy.”
Since leaving Love Island Ope has been enjoying watching his rival Simba land himself in hot water.
The pair clashed from the moment bombshell Simba entered the villa, when he kissed Ope’s former flame Angelista.
It left Ope feeling riled up, which only got worse when it appeared that Simba took a swipe at his looks.
However, after kissing Mica behind Angelista’s back Simba has found himself in a mess, which has left Ope watching the show with glee.
Taking to TikTok to talk about it, Ope mocked Simba saying: ““Simba, take a touch my bro,” as he filmed himself bursting into laughter.
With a massive smile on his face, Ope continued: “So, last night, Mica gave Simba a big fat custard cream motherf****ng pie. I wouldn’t say I’m happy about it.
“But, you know, what goes around comes around, ha ha”.
“You had two girls, now you got none,” said Ope – repeating the same words Simba had said to him on the show just one week ago when the roles were reversed.
Alison is a TV icon, loved for her infectious laugh and huge personality.
