LOVE Island’s Tommy has finally admitted he was in talks for the show while still dating his ex girlfriend.
During Thursday’s episode, he was asked about the timeline of his past relationship by Maya Jama during her Not Another Podcast segment.

In tonight’s instalment, Yasmin decided to get to the bottom of what exactly happened as she confronted Tommy about the situation.
He explained: “We split up in December for like a few months, I decided to do this and we left it sweet. That was it.”

Yasmin asked: “You said it was like two weeks before or something like that?”
He continued: “Yeah, that’s when I fully shut things off, two weeks before I came here.”

Trying to make sense of the situation, Yasmin pondered: “So when you got the call to say you were coming on the show, when was that?
“Before the two weeks or after the two weeks?”
Tommy responded: “Yeah, two weeks before they called me.”
“So that was one of the main reasons then?,” Yas asked as he said: “No, that wasn’t the main reasons why.
“All I can say is I apologise for not keeping you in the loop. I’m with you, I love you, your my person. But I get it, I should’ve.”
The next day, the pair had another conversation as he said: “I’ve been open and honest with you, it ended very soon before me coming here.
“That was it, it was a decision I chose to make myself. I didn’t even know you at this point. Now I’ve met you and I feel how I feel.”
“Can you see where I’m coming from though?,” a sad Yasmin asked as he said: “Yeah.”

The Jattvibe exclusively revealed back in May that Tommy was in talks to appear on the ITV2 show.
A source said at the time: “Tom is in advanced talks to join the pool of Islanders to appear at some point in the series.
“As always, no one is officially on the show til they’re in the villa.
“But Tom makes the perfect Islander – he’s in great nick, got great chat, is fun and fit and bosses reckon the girls will love him.”
