Chelsea lost five games in a row without scoring for the first time since 1912 and it cost him his job.
Under-21 boss Callum McFarlane was placed in charge until the end of the season, his second stint as interim boss in this campaign.
Rosenior’s brief stint proved to be disastrous after a number of poor results and negative headlines.
Chelsea came under fire for forming a huddle around referee Paul Tierney before their 1-0 loss to Newcastle last month.

Rosenior defended the gesture and said his players wanted to “respect the ball”.
There were even reports that some Chelsea players referred to Rosenior as the “substitute teacher” after his sacking.
And in the three days since Rosenior was ousted, there has been nothing from Chelsea players on social media.
Not one player has posted a message of farewell to the coach on Instagram or X.

When Enzo Maresca left Chelsea in January, a number of players wished him well in his next stint.
Levi Colwill called him a “top person”, while Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez were also among the players paying tribute.
Rosenior lasted just 107 days in his post and his final game in charge was a damning 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Tuesday.
In a club statement, Chelsea said: “On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, we would like to place on record our gratitude to Liam and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club.
“Liam has always conducted himself with the highest integrity and professionalism following his appointment midway through the season.
“This has not been a decision the Club has taken lightly, however recent results and performances have fallen below the necessary standards with still so much more to play for this season. Everyone at Chelsea FC wishes Liam every success in the future.”
