The two women had clashed when Charli boldly declared: “I think the dancefloor is dead” — days after Madonna launched her comeback by teasing a follow-up to her iconic 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor.
Madonna later fired back on social media: “If your dance floor feels dead, maybe you’re playing the wrong music.”
But Charli insisted her comments were about wanting to distance herself from her globe-dominating 2024 Brat album, which focused on electronic dance music, rather than a dig at the superstar.
She explained: “That lyric is very much about my relationship with Brat, and my personal experience with that album.

“There’s been such a wealth of incredible dance/electronic-adjacent records that have been coming out recently, whether it’s Slayyyter, Underscores or PinkPantheress.
“Dance music is in an incredible place.”
Madonna and Charli put on a very public display of unity as they sat alongside each other puffing cigars at the VIP fashion event.
Later in the evening, they were seen dancing away at the after-party as some of Madonna’s biggest hits, including Hung Up and Thief of Hearts, were blasted out.

Madonna had arrived at the fashion show in a maroon sheer lace dress.
She later emerged from the Ritz Paris hotel in a satin negligee, leopard-print jacket, thigh-high boots and oversized sunglasses to party into the night.
Charli wore a bright red Saint Laurent dress and burgundy shoes with pointed toes and heels.
Madonna is gearing up for a massive few weeks ahead.
She is set to release her fifteenth studio album, Confessions II, on July 3.
As well as hosting exclusive launch parties in Paris and London, she is booked to perform at the first-ever World Cup final half-time show on July 19 in New Jersey.
