A shooting incident was reported from Vedant Nagar near Chungi Number 3 in Moga on Wednesday, leaving one person injured and triggering panic in the locality.According to police, the victim, Kuljeet Singh, a resident of Vedant Nagar, was returning home with a companion when he was allegedly intercepted by assailants travelling in a car. The attackers reportedly opened fire before fleeing the scene.One bullet struck Kuljeet Singh in the leg, leaving him injured. He was first taken to a local hospital and later referred to a private hospital in Ludhiana for further treatment due to the seriousness of his condition.Senior police officials said preliminary investigation suggests that the attack was pre-planned, fuelled by a long-standing personal vendetta. CCTV footage from the area has been examined, and the vehicle used in the incident has been identified. Two suspects have been identified and search operations are underway to arrest them.A case has been registered, and further investigation is in progress.Police said efforts are being made to ascertain the exact motive behind the attack and to apprehend all those involved.
