Taking to Instagram, Aljofree posted an emotional message to his page thanking the club for all the help they had given him.

He told his 22,500 followers: “After 14 years at this amazing football club, my second home, and the place I’ve grown from a boy to man.
“I can’t thank the staff, players and everybody who has helped me enough for everything they have helped me with throughout my time.
“I’ve made brothers for life and I will always appreciate what this club have given me.
“I wish everybody at the club the absolute best.

“Ready to kick on and keep growing as a person and as a player.

Aljofree trained with the senior team ahead of United’s 2-1 win over Brentford, though the defender did not make the matchday squad.

He spent most of the last two seasons on loan, including making 27 appearances at Accrington Stanley, where he scored three goals.
The defender also spent the first half of this season on loan at League Two side Notts County, where he made 11 appearances.
Several United stars posted farewell messages in the comments, including Kobbie Mainoo, who said: “All the best bro.”

His dad, Hasney, also a former Man Utd academy star and later a youth coach, also shared a touching tribute to his son.
The heartwarming post said: “Super proud of you son. What an incredible 14 years.
“You’ve made us all proud of you and more importantly you have proved to yourself what you can do given a chance.
“I’m excited for you and what’s next. Time to get your career going and achieve all what you set out to do.
“Keep working hard and keep believing Sonny. Let’s go. Dad x.”
