MANCHESTER UNITED youngster Ethan Ennis has completed a permanent move to Stockport County for an undisclosed fee.
In keeping with other academy transfer business the summer, the Red Devils have secured solid clauses in the deal.

United have included both a 50 per cent sell on and buy back clause into the deal, as well as a matching rights provision.
Ennis had not featured in pre-season for United, and now is set to begin a three-year deal with the League Two side.

Taking to Instagram, Ennis, 21, wrote: “After a rollercoaster five years the time has come to move on from Manchester United ❤️
“I’ll always be grateful for the memories, the people and the experiences that have shaped me both on and off the pitch. It’s been an honour to wear the shirt and represent this club.“I want to say a big thank you to all my coaches, staff and teammates for making my time here so special. It’s something I’ll always cherish and look back on with pride. Thank you for everything.”

Ennis spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Fleetwood Town, where he scored six goals.
After rejecting a scholarship contract proposal from Liverpool’s academy, the forward held interest and visited Chelsea’s training ground before ultimately signing a contract with United in 2021.
But his progress was cut short at the start of his second season at Carrington after he suffered an ACL injury.

Ennis recovered after a year out, and he had two loan spells, one at Doncaster Rovers before joining Fleetwood.
Ennis joins up with former United academy prospect James Bailey, who was released by United and subsequently signed with County.
United are improving at selling on academy players under Ineos, who want to create sellable assets with heavy add-on clauses into deals.
