A statement from Fifa says: “Appointment change: Due to a minor injury, referee Michael Oliver (ENG) has been replaced by Francois Letexier (FRA).
“Oliver is expected to be available for selection again in the coming days.”
The 41-year-old was in charge of 42 games across last season with 29 of those in the Prem.
He also officiated eight more in the Champions League.

Oliver has three World Cup matches under his belt, all at Qatar 2022.
He had been due to officiate with fellow Brits Stuart Burt and James Mainwaring running the line.
Oliver’s injury means all three have been changed with Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni called in alongside the experienced Letexier.
Saudis Khalid Alturais and Mohammed Alabakrv keep their place on fourth official and reserve assist duties.
