Moga Municipal Corporation Mayor Winipal Kaur had a narrow escape on Monday after her official government vehicle was hit by a speeding bus from behind while taking a turn.According to preliminary information, the Mayor was travelling in her official car when the incident took place. As the driver was negotiating a turn, a bus approaching from behind failed to slow down in time and rammed into the rear of the vehicle.Despite the impact, Mayor Winipal Kaur and the other occupants of the vehicle escaped unhurt, though the official car sustained damage.Following the collision, local authorities were alerted and police arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation.Police have registered a case against the bus driver for reckless driving, and further proceedings are under way.
