Daley has been jailed for four months after he was charged with 12 offences of theft, one attempted theft and possession of a bladed article.
The investigation revealed he was a prolific shoplifter who was responsible for a spate of looting offences across Wales and the West Midlands.
In his three week spree, CCTV captured Daley strolling out of shops carrying bags packed full of goods.
This amounted to more than £4,000 in losses for business in Cardiff, Chepstow and more in February.

His most ludicrous heist was the large cardboard display case of Mini Eggs he picked up and carried out of the Tesco store.
Daley made no effort to cover his face or make a quick getaway, with footage showing shoppers give him double-takes as he lifts up the entire display.
The brazen thief was finally caught by police on February 21, after he had committed a theft earlier that day.
On arrest, South Wales Police officers discovered he had a kitchen knife in his possession, which was added to his litany of charges.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Warriner, said: “Daley is a prolific offender who was brazen in his actions across the country, showing a clear disregard for the law and believing himself above it.
“Shoplifting is not a victimless crime, and offenders like Daley have a big financial impact on businesses, and emotional impact on those who work there.
“Daley would have continued targeting businesses across the UK and I am glad to see that he has now been prevented from doing so.”
This comes as businesses and shop workers across the country have reported shoplifting has become rampant as annual shoplifting offences soar past 500,000.
At bakery chain Greggs, self-service tills have been removed to prevent shoplifters, while goods are handed over from behind theft-proof counters in an attempt to combat the crisis.
