Chilling CCTV showed the brute nudging Lily along a road in Oldbury, West Midlands, with his Mercedes Sprinter vehicle.
Moments later, Azim crushed Lily against a lamppost – causing her fatal injuries.
He has now been convicted of murder following a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
Jurors heard Lily and Azim had been in an on-off relationship since 2023.
Lily had been visiting her baby in hospital
Azim claimed Lily had been hit by someone else
On Bonfire Night last year, Azim picked Lily up from Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley, West Midlands, where she had been visiting her baby.
The tot, whose dad was not Azim, had been in the neonatal intensive care unit following their birth in September 2025.
Instead of driving the victim to her home in Oldbury, Azim instead drove past her address and to Old Park Lane.
Footage from a nearby school captured the sound of his recovery truck just out of view of the camera for around 16 minutes before it appeared on the screen.

Lily was then seen walking quickly along the road on the driver’s side as Azim appeared to nudge or push her with the truck.
Prosecutor Rachel Brand KC said: “Lily started running, the vehicle is pursuing her at a low speed but, nevertheless, we say he was clearly using that large, heavy vehicle as a weapon.”
As the truck goes out of view, a “large bang” is heard on the CCTV, which the prosecution suggest was the truck striking a lamppost.
Ms Brand continued: “We believe [Lily] was crushed against a lamppost, perhaps with the driver’s door of the truck open at the time.”
After murdering his girlfriend, Azim picked her up and put her in his truck while dialling 999.
In the frantic call, he can be heard saying: “I need an ambulance please, please… it’s crazy… she is bleeding, she got hit by a car and they drive off… they drive off.”
Asked by the call handler what had happened, Azim replied: “I don’t know she got run over… she was crossing the road… She’s in my truck, she’s in my truck… Oh my god… it’s messed up man.”
He then stopped in nearby Park Street and placed Lily on the pavement before the emergency services arrived.
Police body-worn video footage captured Azim with blood on his face describing what type of car had hit Lily and comparing it to another vehicle in the road.
He told officers: “Man he was fast, that’s why man, or he didn’t see her, I don’t know. Oh my god.”
Tragically, Lily could not be saved and was declared dead at the scene.
A post-mortem found she suffered injuries predominantly to her right side while in an upright position, including a broken upper arm, fractured ribs, a laceration to her liver and traumatic injuries to her chest.
Jurors heard this caused “severe bleeding” and led to the mum’s death.
Azim has been remanded into custody ahead of sentencing.
