From being their biggest cheerleaders to their closest confidantes to mentors, on Mother’s Day, stars share their unshakable bond with their mothers.
The silent force: Parakh Madan
My mother is my greatest source of strength and the silent force whose unwavering support has shaped the person I am today. She is an eternal optimist and has always taught me to look at the brighter side of things, irrespective of the circumstances. There are many moments I cherish, but one in particular has to be our champi (head massage) time. We talk about anything and everything while she oils my hair every weekend. And I make sure the conversation keeps going because her champi is magical, and I try to make it last for as long as I can.
Emotional anchor: Parleen Gill
My mother is my biggest emotional anchor — pure, selfless, and full of silent strength. Her presence gives me a sense of calm and stability, no matter what phase of life I’m going through. The biggest lesson she has taught me is to stay grounded and kind, irrespective of success or failure.
Unconditional love: Anupama Prakash
My mother is my whole world. She has done so much for me without ever expecting anything in return. Mothers carry so many responsibilities quietly, often without recognition, yet they continue to give unconditional love and strength. If I could, I would give her all the happiness and love in the world because she truly deserves it. For me, Mother’s Day is more than just a celebration — it’s a reminder that an entire universe exists within one person: our mother.
Special bond: Rinhee Suberwal
I share a very strong bond with my mother. We fight, we love, we spend our days together, we share our worries, and we always manifest good things for each other. I have seen many parents who do not understand their child’s dreams, but my mom was the first person to recognize mine, support them, and help create a path for me.
Stand by me: Heital Puniwala
My mother and I share a caring relationship. It is full of love, trust, and understanding. With her, I can always be myself. She supports me through every phase of my life and stands by me no matter what. She always tells me, “Don’t do anything to people that you wouldn’t like them to do to you. Treat others with the same respect, kindness, and honesty that you expect for yourself. Always think before you speak or act because your words and actions can affect someone deeply.”
Hot, cold… solid!: Simple Kaul
My relationship with my mother is a mix of hot and cold — we love each other deeply, yet we fight the most too. One lesson she always instilled in me was to be independent: emotionally and financially. With mothers, every moment becomes special in its own way.
Love you, mom: Soniya Bansal
My mother is my biggest strength. She always stands by me. I cherish our simple moments together, filled with love and laughter. I truly understood her sacrifices as I grew older. Now I see how much she does for me and for my family. Mother’s Day is about celebrating her love and presence in my life. Love you, Mom.
Inspiring words: Devanggana Chauhan
My mother has been my biggest motivator in my life. I remember my mother was suffering from cancer, but the way she lived her life was truly inspiring. She always used to say, “If you want to do something in your life, then just do it. You don’t have to wait for the right moment, the right time, the right people, or the right vibe. If you feel like doing it, just do it right now.” That lesson will always stay with me.
