A SIDECAR racer who was injured in a crash during a qualifying lap of the Isle of Man TT course has been transferred to the UK for treatment.
Maria Costello is said to be in a “serious but stable” condition after the smash which also injured her driver Shaun Parker.

The crash on Tuesday evening was at Brandish Corner on the mountain section of the infamous course.
The 52-year-old was raced to Noble’s Hospital on the Isle of Man by airmed for “reported head injuries” before being transferred to Aintree Hospital in Liverpool.
Parker has remained on the island and is being treated for chest, arm, leg and facial injuries where he is reportedly “conscious and talking”.
Costello is the highest profile female racer in the UK and a regular at the TT since her debut on the island 30 years ago.
