A NEWBORN baby has died with police launching a murder investigation as seven people are arrested.
Police were called to a Sheffield property at around 5:58 on Jattvibeday following concerns for the baby girl’s safety.
Tragically, despite the best efforts of emergency services, the tot died at the scene.
It is not currently known how the baby passed away, but officials have asked the public to avoid speculation.

Seven people have now been arrested as part of the investigation.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Emma Knight said: “We have a dedicated team of detectives and officers hard at work to ensure justice is secured for the baby girl at the heart of this investigation.

“As part of our investigation seven people have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
“All of them remain in police custody at this time. We are working to determine the ages of some of those arrested.
“Our investigation is in its early stages and we would like to remind people to avoid speculating about this incident.”
