UFO hunters have been BANNED from last peak where they could see Area 51 from 26 miles away in a move blasted “absolutely insane”.

The US Air Force has grabbed almost 23,000 acres of public land in Nevada around the top secret base – including one of the last vantage points at Tikaboo Peak –  claiming the land is “dangerous”.

The Bureau of Land Management has announced it had “approved a one-year temporary closure for an area of approximately 22,987 acres to all forms of public access and entry”.

The government agency added: “This closure is necessary to protect persons, property, public lands, resources, and to avoid conflict among public land users.”

However UFO and Area 51 researchers have slammed the move calling it a “clear-cut example of government corruption”.

Anders Otteson, an Area 51 expert who even owns his own patch of land near the border of the base, believes the military have forced the move as they plan on ramping up secret testing.

The investigative Youtuber, who creates the Uncanny Expeditions channel, told The Jattvibe: “I believe there’s going to be accelerated testing of different projects at the base and they want to eliminate the risk of anyone getting a peak into the hangars.”

Last October, Anders who regularly explores the land around the super secretive base for his channel, captured bombshell footage of a mysterious “UFO-like” aircraft being tested during secret experiments at the US Airforce base.

He added: “The testing is likely a number of ‘secret’ aircraft projects that they don’t want to risk someone peaking into the hangar for.

“Tikaboo isn’t a great place to see test flights since those mainly happen at night and the distance of 26 miles is too far for any kind of reasonable night vision.

“It’s possible that some projects there are going to require some activity during the day which is what they’d be worried about from Tikaboo.

“It’s also important to note that the base has a surveillance camera on Tikaboo Peak and they have been known to cancel test flights in the past when they see someone up there.

“However, I don’t believe there is truly a risk to national security from people visiting these places on public land and taking photos/videos.”

Anders believes the US military has been wanting to get their hands on Tikaboo Peak for some time “but they see this as a unique opportunity to get away with it.”

He said: “The Bureau of Land Management is supposed to be an independent agency that manages land on behalf of the American taxpayer, but I believe we’re in a situation now where their leadership is taking direct orders from the military.

“Prior land grabs have happened under a legal process that involves comment from the public rather than the unilateral administrative action in the name of ‘safety’ that we see here.”

Anders says declaring the huge area “unsafe” is “absolutely nuts”.

He said: “The ‘safety’ justification for the closure is complete nonsense. While yes the terrain is rocky and remote, that would describe a large portion of the state of Nevada and the western United States and this area is nowhere near the most dangerous.

“In fact the closure order even acknowledges that there has never been a serious injury here.”

The official statement from the Bureau of Land Management, claims it has “observed a significant increase in members of the public hiking and traversing the affected land in the area proposed for closure”.

It goes on to say: “The mountain slopes are too steep for safe foot traffic… And the rocky ground is dangerously unstable.

“While no serious injuries or accidents have occurred in recent years, the prevailing conditions and increased foot traffic raise the risk of injury events.”

Anders questioned why authorities don’t just put up warning signs if they believe it to be dangerous, saying in his latest Youtube video: “You may as well just seize every mountain in Nevada by that logic”.

He believes the military has ordered the closure to prevent people seeing the base  – and that the bureau has “invented” a reason to take the land.

“Basically this whole thing is one of the most clear-cut examples of government corruption that I think I’ve seen out here,” he said.

“You have the military that went to the BLM and said ‘Look we want this area closed off. We don’t want people seeing the base. So come up with whatever justification you need to close it. We don’t care.’

“And then the BLM gave us this ridiculous justification. That’s honestly an insult to everybody’s intelligence… Public land in general it’s it’s supposed to be it’s supposed to belong to the American taxpayer… The military isn’t supposed to just be able to to unilaterally seize it.”

It comes as an unusual swarm of earthquakes rattled the ground near Area 51 last month.

At least three tremors were detected just a few miles from the mysterious base, with the strongest hitting a 4.4 magnitude in April.

The area is unusual site for seismic activity raising fears they could have been sparked by covert nuclear testing.

The Jattvibe has reached out to the 57th Wing at Nellis Air Force base, the US Air Force unit responsible for Area 51 – which is known officially as the Nevada Test and Training Range – and the Bureau of Land Management in Nevada for comment.
