The new concept store will open at Cortonwood Retail Park in Barnsley on Thursday, July 9.
It will become the sixth standalone George store launched by retail giant Asda.
The site is being created by transforming the existing Asda Living branch into one of the supermarket’s dedicated fashion and lifestyle hubs.
The current store closed on June 28 to allow work to get underway ahead of the grand reopening.

The revamped store will stock George’s full clothing range for women, men and children, alongside an expanded George Home department.
Shoppers will be able to browse everything from bedding, bathroom accessories and dining essentials to home décor and seasonal collections.
The upgraded branch will also feature refurbished fitting rooms, more self-service checkouts, and a faster parcel collection service.
George vice president, Karl Doyle, said: “We’re excited to bring our latest standalone George store concept to South Yorkshire and give local customers an even better way to shop our fashion and home collections.
“This investment in Barnsley reflects our commitment to continuing to grow the George brand and enhancing the experience we offer customers.
“We’ve created a modern shopping destination that brings together our best fashion and home ranges in one place, and we lookforward to welcoming shoppers through the doors in July.”
