Patiala district has emerged as the top performer in the merit list of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class 12 results, with 59 students securing positions in the state rankings.A total of 278 students across the state made it to the merit list. The girls dominated the district’s merit tally, with 37 girls and 22 boys making it to the list.The PSEB declared the results on Wednesday, with Patiala recording an overall pass percentage of 91.40 per cent.Out of 17,671 students who appeared in the examinations, 16,152 cleared the exam. Afreen Azim of Play-Ways Senior Secondary School secured the fourth rank in Punjab and emerged as the district topper by scoring 499 marks out of 500.Navneet Kaur of Government Senior Secondary School, Badshahpur secured the second position in the district and sixth rank in the state with 495 marks.Samrin Koshis of Play-Ways Senior Secondary School secured the third position in the district, while Gavin Sharma from the same school bagged the fourth spot with 494 marks.Sapna of Senior Secondary Residential School for Meritorious Students, Patiala, secured the fifth position in the district scoring 493 marks.Play-Ways Senior Secondary School alone secured 36 positions in the merit tally, emerging as one of the top-performing schools in the state.
