The Punjab government on Friday announced to give 8 per cent dearness allowance (DA) to its employees.This puts an end to the agitation the employees had been doing for long.The DA will be given to pensioners as well. They will get 4 per cent enhanced DA in the September salary and another 4 per cent in the October salary.The announcement was made after a 90-minute meeting between employee unions and a government delegation led by CM Bhagwant Mann.
