A DEPRAVED Russian doctor who allegedly forced Ukrainian prisoners of war to strip naked and simulate sex acts has been unmasked and charged.

Vyacheslav Cherdantsev, 48, was nicknamed “The Quack” and “Dr Death” by prisoners who accuse him of conducting a twisted campaign of torture and terror.

Around 50 survivors told of their harrowing experiences inside the notorious IK-7 prison colony in Pakino, northeast of Moscow.

In one grim encounter, Cherdantsev is alleged to have ripped off a prisoner’s toenail without anaesthesia.

In another, the doctor and his Russian inmate accomplice Yaroslav Kirillov are accused of cornering a Ukrainian POW and ordering him to engage in a sex act.

When the Ukrainian refused, the two men allegedly beat him and sexually assaulted him with a broken chair leg.

Kirillov, 29, then allegedly forced another Russian inmate to rape the man while beating him in the head when he fought back.

These sickening details were revealed on Thursday in a report by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).

The damning findings accuse Cherdantsev and Kirillov of “systemic abuse” between 2022 and 2025 with acts so vile they amounted to war crimes.

The report claimed that the so-called doctor spread disease through the prison compound by mixing scabies-infected inmates beside healthy prisoners in crowded cells.

Ukrainian authorities say the medic then forced prisoners to be naked and take ice-cold showers for six weeks as “punishment” for the outbreak.

Former prisoners alleged that Cherdantsev – who is married – denied them medical treatment while using sexual degradation as a weapon of abuse.

They claimed he forced prisoners to undress, mocked their genitals, threatened them with rape and ordered inmates to imitate sex acts or assume humiliating sexual positions while guards laughed.

The freed Ukrainians – returned during prisoner exchanges – told Investigators that Cherdantsev “would approach them and simulate how he would have sex with the prisoners.”

Others accused him of taunting inmates with crude remarks about their bodies.

Prisoners were forced to “touch each other’s intimate parts and imitate sexual acts, in some cases while completely naked,” according to the Ukrainian authorities.

The SBU also alleged that the abuse in IK-7 was sanctioned by prison bosses who gave permission for the horrifying abuse – so long as it did not leave visible marks.

Beatings mingled with humiliation as ex-prisoners recounted being tortured such that they were unable to walk – and then being forced to crawl on the floor “like a seal” without using their legs.

None of the prisoners knew the doctor’s last name – but a painstaking investigation finally uncovered the so-called “Quack” as Vyacheslav Cherdantsev.

Cherdantsev’s alleged vile acts echo another “psychotic” Russian prison torturer.

Known as “Dr Evil”, Ilya Sorokin became one of the most feared torturers inside Russia’s notorious Penal Colony No. 10 in Mordovia.

Under the cover of a white medical coat and a balaclava, the 34-year-old inflicted electric shocks, savage beatings and depraved sexual humiliation on Ukrainian prisoners of war.

But thanks to independent journalists, working with with dozens of exchanged Ukrainian POWs, the identity of the so-called doctor was exposed last year.

The heartless dad-of-two was accused of “pointless sadism” and a grotesque betrayal of medical ethics.

One brave survivor said Sorokin’s voice was “manic, screechy… indescribable”.
