What began as an attempt to secure the money from either being stolen or being spent by family, ended with this Rajasthan farmer being unable to remember where he had stashed it in the first place.But that wasn’t even the worst part.According to reports, Mangilal Meghwal, a resident of Pachpadra, Rajasthan, received around Rs 5 lakh nearly a year ago after he sold a plot of land. His intent was to use the money to build a small house on his farmland but feared theft as well as thought that it could be spent by family members.And so came the idea of hiding it. However, the place was a bit unusual.Meghwal secretly buried the cash in his field. He reportedly placed the money, mostly in Rs 500 notes, inside a polythene bag and buried it in his field at night without informing anyone. When he later needed the cash, however, he could not recall the exact location where he had hidden it. Despite searching his nearly 10-bigha field for several days, he was unable to find it. He eventually told his family, who also joined the search, but the efforts proved unsuccessful.
