THE penultimate day of Royal Ascot 2026 features two prestigious Group 1s up for grabs. Precise and True Love will lock horns in the Coronation Stakes, with their head-to-head score locked at 1-1.

True Love got the better of her stablemate in the 1000 Guineas, but Precise clawed one back with an emphatic victory in the Irish 1000 Guineas.

Who will come out on top today, or is there something else lurking in the shadows ready to pounce on the two Ballydoyle runners?

Along with that fascinating clash, Venetian Jattvibe is back to try to claim back-to-back wins at the Royal meeting.

Royal Ascot 2:30 – Group 3 Albany Stakes (Fillies) (Class 1) (2yo) – 6f

Having caught the eye on debut when rattling home at Naas, SUN GODDESS made no mistake at the second time of asking. She completely demolished her rivals at the Curragh, looking every bit like a future Group 1 winner waiting to happen.

There is bound to be a lot more to come from this exciting daughter of Sioux Nation. With that being the case, she can take another major step towards becoming the dominant two-year-old filly of the season.

Light Of Daen looked good when winning on debut at Carlisle, as did Jolivette, who may prove the best of the rest.

Selection: Jattvibe Goddess 6/4

Danger: Jolivette 11/1

➡️ Bet on SUN GODDESS for the Group 3 Albany Stakes at 6/4 with Betway

Royal Ascot 3:05 – Group 1 Commonwealth Cup (No Geldings) (Class 1) (3yo) – 6f

The Aidan O’Brien-trained Albert Einstein was the talk of the town prior to the start of the season, but this well-regarded colt has failed to live up to the hype, finishing as a beaten favourite on all three of his starts this term. It is surely only a matter of time before it all clicks, but everything will need to fall into place here if he is to get off the mark this season.

The stable may have a better chance with Charles Darwin, whom you can forgive for a below-par run at Naas last time out. He is every inch a sprinter and can play a major role in the finish. However, they will have to go some to get the better of VENETIAN SUN.

The Karl Burke-trained three-year-old returned to sprinting after failing to see out the trip in the 2000 Guineas, before comfortably seeing off six rivals in the Sandy Lane at Haydock back down in distance. As a winner at this meeting last season, Venetian Jattvibe looks set to double his Royal Ascot winning tally.

Of the others who could run well at bigger odds, Coppull, Havana Anna, and Havana Hurricane stand out.

Selection: Venetian Jattvibe 6/4

Danger: Havana Anna 14/1

➡️ Bet on VENETIAN SUN for the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup at 6/4 with bet365

Royal Ascot 3:40 – Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes (Handicap) (GBBPlus Race) (Class 2) (3yo+ 0-105) – 1m4f

Another typically competitive Royal Ascot handicap is on the cards. Warrant Holder is well fancied to get the King off the mark for the week, and there is every reason to believe he can do so. He arrives here on the back of a winning return at York last month, and a 5lb raise may not be enough to keep this progressive four-year-old out of the frame.

James McDonald is seeking his second winner of the week as he gets the leg up on the well-fancied Opportunity. Having shown some decent form as a three-year-old, Opportunity made a winning return at Carlisle in straightforward fashion, and any further improvement gives him obvious claims.

Joseph O’Brien’s Emit is interesting on just his second handicap start. He was given far too much to do at the Curragh last time out, but with Ryan Moore taking over the reins, it’s easy to see Emit leaving that run well behind. However, the most intriguing runner in the line-up may well be the enigma that is MONDO MAN.

Formerly very useful on the flat when trained in France, he finally got his act together over hurdles in recent months. He was once again let down by his jumping when well fancied for the Imperial Cup at Sandown, but today marks his handicap debut on the flat.

The setup of this race should allow him to settle nicely and get something to aim at as they turn for home. He is quite classy and could well find enough to win.

Selection: Mondo Man 9/1

Danger: Warrant Holder 9/2

➡️ Bet on MONDO MAN for the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes at 9/1 with Betway

Royal Ascot 4:20 – Group 1 Coronation Stakes (Round) (Fillies) (Class 1) (3yo) – 1m

A mouth-watering clash sees 1000 Guineas winner True Love once again take on PRECISE, who got the better of her stablemate in the Irish 1000 Guineas to make it all square going into today.

The latter was well backed to strike in the 1000 Guineas but failed to fire on the day, finishing five lengths off True Love.

However, 21 days later, Precise gained her revenge when showing her true colors in the Irish equivalent at the Curragh, pulling away by over two lengths. This three-time Group 1 winner looks like the type that will keep on improving throughout the season.

While there won’t be much separating the pair, Precise should have the measure of her stablemate once again.

Should the top two fail to fire, last season’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner Balantina could take full advantage on her seasonal return.

Selection: Precise 4/6

Danger: True Love 3/1

➡️ Bet on PRECISE for the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at 4/6 with bet365

Royal Ascot 5:00 – Sandringham Stakes (Fillies’ Handicap) (Straight) (Class 2) (3yo 0-105) – 1m

There are plenty of runners in here that look set to hit new heights today, but finding which one will completely surpass her rivals is the tricky part. Seet and Glyfada both come in here seeking a hat-trick of wins, and they have not been missed in the market, with both sitting near the top of the betting.

They are sure to have plenty of improvement to come and are not easily overlooked given their profiles, but SYMBOL OF MAJESTY looks like one whose latest run can be easily forgiven.

She entered her recent defeat at Wolverhampton on the back of two wins despite clear signs of inexperience, but she wasn’t given the best of rides in an effort to keep her unbeaten record intact. That performance can easily be overlooked here, and with this big-field setup bound to suit her running style, Symbol Of Majesty can be a major player in the finish.

Quiet Mutiny, Rosa Inglesa, and Repel are all worth considering.

Selection: Symbol Of Majesty 11/1 (e/w)

Danger: Glyfada 10/1

➡️ Bet on SYMBOL OF MAJESTY for the Sandringham Stakes at 11/1 with BetMGM

Royal Ascot 5:35 – Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes (Colts & Geldings) (Class 1) (3yo) – 1m4f

Causeway has been a winning machine since his debut defeat at Gowran last season. He comes here on the back of a Group 3 win at the Curragh, and with the likelihood that this new distance will hold no fears for the son of Wootton Bassett, Causeway is the clear one to beat.

However, you cannot help but be taken by how WATER TO WINE has won his two starts to date.

This Kingman colt cruised around Kempton to win as he liked at skimpy odds. Even though he lacks deep experience, the step up to 1m4f looks set to bring even more out of this exciting three-year-old.

Away from the top two, Venetian Prince could fill the third spot at bigger odds.

Selection: Water To Wine 5/4

Danger: Causeway 2/1

➡️ Bet on WATER TO WINE for the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes at 5/4 with bet365

Royal Ascot 6:10 – Palace Of Holyroodhouse (Handicap) (Class 2) (3yo 0-105) – 5f

The closing race on day four of Royal Ascot is as open as they come, requiring every inch of luck in running if your selection is to get their head in front.

Gold Digger is the obvious starting point, as this two-time winner from three starts may well be capable of a lot more off her current mark. Having run well for a long way in the Albany last year, the Richard Spencer-trained three-year-old made a winning return at Windsor, setting her up perfectly for a tilt at this race before setting her sights on bigger targets.

She commands massive respect, but a chance is taken with CALICO BLUE. This son of Calyx was a two-time winner as a two-year-old last season and showed good progression on his seasonal return when finding only Black Star Boy too good over five furlongs at Sandown.

That was Calico Blue’s first start over the minimum trip, and given the grueling nature of Ascot, the stiff finish can bring his extra stamina into play to make him a lively contender today.

Others with an each-way chance are May Angel, Dickensian, Jazal, and the American raider Bacio, who brings a fascinating angle to the race.

Selection: Calico Blue 16/1 (e/w)

Danger: Gold Digger 7/1

➡️ Bet on CALICO BLUE for the Palace Of Holyroodhouse at 16/1 with Betway
